Fidelity Aggressive Growth Shuffles Top Tech Holdings
NEW YORK -- Erin Sullivan, manager of Fidelity's $5.95 billion mid-cap Aggressive Growth Fund, realigned the fund's top 10 holdings in the second quarter.
Sullivan, like several other Fidelity managers including Magellan's Robert Stansky, added Lucent Technologies Inc. (LU) to her top 10, while America Online Inc. (AOL) is no longer on the list.
Amgen Inc. (AMGN), Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) and RealNetworks Inc. (RNWK) were the other stocks that fell out of Aggressive Growth's top 10, according to Fidelity's second-quarter mutual fund guide, released Thursday.
In addition to Lucent, the Aggressive Growth fund, formerly called the Emerging Growth Fund, added Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO), Intuit Inc. (INTU) and Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM).
Sullivan also increased the fund's overall technology holdings, similar to several Fidelity managers. Aggressive Growth increased its technology position to 41.7% as of June 30, compared with 36.2% as of March 31. Total holdings increased to 202 from 189 in the same period.
Aggressive Growth is up 34.01% for the year through June 30, compared with 22.33% through May 31, according to the Fidelity mutual fund guide. The fund's net assets increased to $5.95 billion through June 30, compared with $5.16 billion through May.
