I don't have time to read the article (short break) but I wanted to tell you I heard a great presentation by a panel of experts from ASND, FORE, and the ATM Forum and learned G.Lite is based on ATM. I don't know why that escaped me before now, but I think it's significant.
I also plan to start a campaign to change the acronym ATM to something else. It is and will continue to be the brains behind, beside, on top of, IP for the next millenium --- well at least for a long long time --- AND it deserves a little respect. Everyone, including the folks from Williams and Frontier, pounded the table today on its presence both at the end and at the core.

Except to say the Plenary session with T, USWest, Frontier and Williams was the best session I've heard in months. You'll be hearing more about "fiddlers."
