I have used them all..... ADX, VHF and Regression are the primary tools I used to determine the strength of a trend.

However I point out in a past post that pennies at the bottom of a big run can have a very low ADX and show an oversold oscillators. This is just the nature of the math behind these indicators when applied to pennies.
