I'd rather not add a second story. Here in wiggle country Flat is Good. But what I'm hearing, and I don't know if it is true, is that 1) contractors are all super busy building new dense-pack mansionettes, and 2) even if I found a contractor, figure on $200 per square FOOT for a no-nonsense addition. Eeeeeek. I don't have the $200 big'uns for a second story ... can anyone tell me it isn't that bad? please?
