Not so sure the deep pockets thing will apply here. Nobody got burned horribly. No kids involved. No internal memos showing the ugly Cost Benefit Analysis. Actually, the rich aren't the most hated in America. Not even close. They are the most envied, and much of the talk that sounds negative about them is merely jealousy. That's why pollsters and social scientists can never really figure out why most of your average joe's favor moderate Republican-ish (eg. most of Clinton's) economic policies. Yes, there is major bitching about large corporations, but I just don't think that the public sees Microsoft as harming them economically. Sales and revenues point to just the opposite... No consumer backlash in sight. just MHO
