My last comment tonight - some people have commented elsewhere that I have been too hard on Rande and BDE. I am always open to being told I am being stupid about something.

I feel justified in this case, however. I deeply distrust anyone who tries to take a group of people in hand and lead them around like a shepherd. Some people like or need it, but the situation is fraught with the chance to lead them astray. I wouldn't do it myself.

That's why I made it clear that this is not a leader/follower environment. Don't trust me any more than you would trust your favorite bartender (you can see what I aspire to in life).

I also base this on having watched various self-serving politicians suck people in around the world. It's not a pretty picture, but it reminds me of some scenes I see on SI.

Finally, I spent some time with the BDE SEC filings today. If everything goes right and Wall Street gives them a wild, wacko Internut valuation, they could go up from here. I have a stop on my short and may just cover it at a small profit soon.

But the company is selling stock for operating money, it is complaining about deals being delayed or not completed, and its main business ventures are a long way from producing enough money to cover their cash burn.

I can see why a company with so many pending deals is trading down at $5. Probably stock from a recent convertible hitting the market.

So I stand by my DD on BDE and my personal feelings about how Rande reacted to my post on his thread. I wont' post to him or his thread again. Just wanted to clear this up for everyone lurking here now.

In general, I would like to preserve the atmosphere we have created on this thread. If I get sharp from time to time, I will try to keep it within reasonable limits.

Or you guys can tell me I am being stupid. I always like a friendly argument.

PS One hint - multiple !!!! are really annoying, no matter what the context.
