Not so sure the deep pockets thing will apply here. Nobody got burned horribly.

Ahh, but one must hold one's breath until the jury returns in a case like this. I'm not a lawyer, so I'm not fully versed in the lore of the jury, but I worked on the periphery of the profession for long enough to see examples both of juries that worked through complex issues to come to an informed decision, and of juries that seemed to ignore all the evidence to arrive at bizarre verdicts.

Hard to say where this one is going, but at least they seem to be taking time to fully consider the issues. I would think that's a good sign, or at least a neutral sign for Microsoft since juries in cases like this are given a complex set of instructions to follow when making their decision and are often given most or all of the exhibits used in trial as well. If Microsoft's case is as strong as it seems to be, then such careful consideration should lead to a verdict in their favor.

But then again, maybe Bristol's lawyers did a good job of painting their client as "a poor little local company just trying to make jobs for the good people of our state" going against "the world's biggest corporation from Washington." As t2 (I believe) mentioned the other day, those kinds of silly regional arguments can sometimes register with a jury.
