That's funny. I thought I just gave my 1 minute opinion of Iomega's earnings report. You guys are too much tied up in this stock. You now assume that an attack on Iomega is an attack on you! bizzare.

The fact is, Heinz is right. There is a huge amount of money playing both sides of this stock. This stock has a chance to EXPLODE up if Iomega could just come through. just once!

The problem is, the long term price of the stock is dependant on revenues & earnings. It's that simple. Iomega keeps failing. Their only successful product has been the ZIP (out of many tries!), and their new products are going right after the same market. The strategy doesn't make sense. Also, the ZIP franchise is showing signs of shrinking overall. This is bad.

The simple fact is that the ZIP franchise is basically flat, all other product lines stink, and their strategy to make money is NOT to increase demand, but to cut expenses. And, to top it off, ZIP-CD and CLIK! sales wil come at the expense of Jaz and ZIP sales.

The saddest part is that Iomega threw enough of a bone out there to keep the suckers on board for another 2 quarters. Amazing. (I threw this line in there to give you something to attack. You cannot attack on the facts...)

See you next quarter! (no doubt it will be the same old crew, expousing ZIP unit sales as the only thing that matters)
