(Brandweek - 607 words - July 12, 1999) NBC to Preview Fall Season via CD-ROM, Contest Lure BURBANK, CALIF.--NBC for the first time adds a CD-ROM to its list of promotions for the fall season, linking with L.A.'s United Internet Technology for an interactive game that will preview new programming; a contest overlay will give a walk-on role on a show. About a million CD-ROMs will be distributed in early September via newspapers. Among the network's other fall-pegged promotions: a redo with United Airlines for in-flight airings of a fall preview show, in addition to ongoing news and sports programming. Episodes of Will & Grace and Just Shoot Me will be shown on United flights through the fall. Internet properties such as ivillage and talkcity, with which NBC has recently forged links, will carry new-season banners and promos.
