OK on SWC. . .thanks for the tough love. . .guess we need to put together the perfect "metal basket" . . gold, platinum, copper, palladium, silver, pennies, leaders, sleepers, foreign, domestic, etc.
Yes, I have a feeling that [aside from any real reasons] we could see a movement into it sometime in the near future.
I have seen times when gold stocks outperformed all other sectors. . . during weak market times. . . it doesn't last long. . .but because many are now penny stocks, like you say. . . the gains can be extraordinary. . . in the hundreds of percents.
Penny gold stocks do not bother me. . . provided they have not sold off too many assets in the decline. I prefer those that at some time over the past few years has dramatically improved their mining techniques to get their cost of mining per ounce down well under where it needs to be for profiting in the CURRENT market.
Our WHX's Handy and Harmon deal in specialty metals [service] and could see second hand benefits from any dramatic moves in the sector.
Will take a look at GRERF. Is it Canadian?
