NEW DELHI, India, July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Phillips Group Tarifica, a
telecommunications consulting firm based in London, UK, will be holding its inaugural seminar on telecommunications
opportunities in India on August 25 and 26.

The Phillips Group Tarifica, and The Phillips Group InfoTech of Parsippany, NJ, USA, are subsidiaries of Phillips International,

The 2-day seminar, featuring telecom experts from around the globe will be held at the Oberoi Hotel in New Delhi, India.
Attendees will evaluate major changes in global telecommunications and its potential impact on India.

India is increasingly viewed as one the world's emerging markets for high-quality telecommunications networks, much like the
U.S. market was 25 years ago. ''India, perhaps even more than China in the near term, represents significant

acting chairman and managing director of VSNL, and the regulator, TRAI will be represented by Dr. Rajat Kathuria, director
economics. Mr. Alistair Scott, vice-president, Asian telecom analyst, Merill Lynch, Dr. S.D. Saxena, of MTNL, Mr. C
Karunakaran, vice president of BPL Mobile Communications Ltd and Mr. Sandeep Sharma, manager - telecom products
division, Corning India will also speak.

Ciena, a leading US vendor will be co-hosting with The Phillips Group, a gala reception and dinner for conference guests and
the leading members of the Indian telecommunications community.
