Just caught the end of Lady Elaine being interviewed on CNBC. Most notable to me she said the Columbia leading inflation index is now up 4 months in a row at a rate of 6.8% per year I believe. This historically is the kind of increases that have led to Fed tightenings. Don't know if that per cent is predicting a similar increase in inflation or what. On her quantitative model her indicators are lower than they've been in a long time but not bearish at this time. She thinks as long as inflation stays so low the market should do OK. I guess if we do get a true whiff of inflation at some point than the market may be like that 3 legged bull skating on an ice pond they talk about in that stupid gold commercial.
10 day P/C moving average has finally moved up a bit to .51 today
