Thanks for the accolade, but I am far from an expert. I took neither antitrust nor telecommunications law in law school -- & have yet to formerly practice the profession since admitted to the California bar several years ago.

As you may surmise I have a focused interest in telecom & will bring all my skills to bear when addressing issues -- be they technical, financial or legal. IMHO, open access is just the tip of the iceberg as you allude to in your post. Many issues have yet to be addressed. The advent of broadband to the Last Mile, IMHO, will certainly keep the lawyers busy in the years ahead.

I like your reliance on the OSI model to illustrate how one may analyze how these issues enter "the loop."
