After watching my relatively small investment in QCOM rise 100%+ in the past few months, I raised Q to 50% of my portfolio about 3 days ago. With this increased interest in Q, I must ask why an early announcement is necessarily good news?

If earnings were very poor, wouldn't Q also want to avoid possible leaks by announcing early?

Any elucidation that you could provide me would be much appreciated.
