This internship position has your name written all over it. You've got great organizational skills and are clearly competent with MS word. Just remind the job interviewer that you got over a million votes against Xoma in the last proxy. This job would look great on your resume, would only be for a summer and as you will be privy to inside information, your good friends here at SI could only appreciate you that much more. <grinning>

The Summer Interns will work closely with SAS Programmers to prepare for a Biologic License Application (BLA) submission. As a member of the Biostatistics and Research Data Services team (BARDS), the interns will assist programmers with software development and validation to support critical data analysis.

Responsibilities:

Review annotated Case Record Forms and SAS data set to develop detailed programming specifications. Document and verify findings.

Examine raw data and SAS output, comparing results to verify accuracy.
Provide general administrative support for programmers. File study documentation. Update inventory of SAS programs and data sets, documenting filename, location and description.

Test SAS programs and data sets for Y2K compliance. Document findings.

Qualifications

Meticulous attention to detail

Good organizational skills

Strong achievement in a SAS class or equivalent work experience, ideally in the VAX/VMS environment

Good communication skills

Competent with MS Word and Excel

Committed to working though the summer
