It has been about twenty years since I've been in Amsterdam. I do not recall any pollution problems then. In London there seemed to be a covering of soot everywhere, due to coal burning in individual units. They have since sandblsted buildings and there has been a clean up. The large part of the European continent has air quality problems, I've read, and many municipalities and states are starting measures to promote clean air. As a result there have been many ventures in the fuel cell research. In some reports it would seem they are taking this research more seriously than we are here in the United States. Ballard is a good case where most of their support comes from Daimler in Germany, and Alstrom, formerly GE Alsthrom, in France. Both giants in their respective industry. Have you heard any reports, recently of Alstrom fuel cell activity? It may be that fuel cells will thrive more readily in Europe due to high fuel costs and greater pollution control needs. My apologies for not being able to express any expertise in these fields, but feel after nearly eighty years on this planet, I have a right to chose what is believed to be a prudent investment path when uusing discretionary capital. Thanks for the link. Recently upgraded my computer and have not reloaded all of my old bookmarks. That was one I missed and wanted.
