Plata's First Acquisition
Plata Capital, an operating division of Plata Mining Limited (“Plata”), a Bermuda company, is pleased to announce that the company has executed a letter of intent to invest $1,200,000 in Relationship Marketing Resources Inc. (RMR). Arrangements are being made to have Plata's outstanding warrants exercised in order to provide funding. The investment will be by convertible debenture which will represent a 25% equity interest in RMR on conversion. RMR satisfies Plata's
investment criteria and represents its first portfolio investment in an E-business solution provider.
RMR, a private company owned by its President Robert Beckerman, is internationally recognized as being at the leading edge of strategic relationship marketing, and has been in operation since 1991.
RMR currently employs thirteen staff including five programming specialists and operates from its Markham, Ontario location. Since its inception, RMR's business focus has been the development of
software programs and marketing strategies that enable RMR's clients to understand and satisfy their customers' needs, and by doing so, increase profitability. RMR's client base includes American Express, Smithkline Beecham, Royal Bank of Canada, Goodyear, Harvard Business Review, London Life Insurance, Levi's, Drug Trading, Stratford Festival and Sunrise Records.
Plata is pleased to be RMR's capital partner. Plata's investment will provide the additional staffing and capital requirements for the growth of RMR's core business and will support the launch of new
Internet opportunities. Upon completion of this investment RMR will be poised to substantially increase its sales of its strategic marketing technologies.
Plata will continue to identify other investment opportunities that will meet its investment criteria consisting of driven companies with E-business solutions.
The letter of intent is conditional upon satisfactory due diligence, regulatory and board approvals. This is an arms length transaction.
