*Quarter results* It might be that Qualcomm is keen to ensure everything is seen to be above board, fair and equitable so they will get the quarter results into the trading arena for a day before the S&P500 listing. Knowing that they have got great results would make that decision a very easy one to make.

My bet is another extremely good quarter with more and more impressed Wall Streeters and fewer and fewer posts from Tero. But, you never know, 'Sell on the News' can have powerful effects. As can stock market crashes.

Meanwhile, does it occur to people that Sony closing their handset production due to being unsuccessful implies a great achievement by Qualcomm. Sony went into the QPE joint venture with Qualcomm because they are the consumer electronics, design, production and marketing kings.

Qualcomm is booming in handsets while Sony has packed it in. Sony was supposed to show Q! how to do it, not the other way around. That is a very impressive achievement and the idea that Q! achieved it because 'they don't have to pay royalties and get cheaper ASICs' is hogwash. Not that I have seen that argument used in regard to Sony losing to Q!

Riding it all out,
Mqurice
