randmiser. What I do is I don't look at the market price of my option on a day-to-day basis. I look at the price of the stock. If the price stayed close to the same but a little lower (like today), the option MM might take the bid price of your option down more than the stock went down, more than one day of premium should warrant. Sometimes they'll just strip off a chunk of time premium, then hold the price stable.

All I know is I have the Oct calls, and the price [of the stock] is holding. I wish we could have broke into new territory today, but we didn't and the stock treaded water.

Will MSFT "sell on the news"?? I think I'll wait for the results, although you'd have to live under a rock to not know that MSFT earnings will be very very good.
