I agree, its IPO did great, but China.com has no future, because China has no surplus capital to spend, and the plus did you see how China.Com has to apologize because the governement news agency censors unpopular or critical news, even on the internet. The Chinese Communist Party doesn't get it. The Internet is not for them. A Tawain.com or HongKong.com may be worth it, but China.com speaks to a very poor impoverished (economically, politically and free speech wise) Red China that is only going to be a big problem for the entire world over the next two decades. I will make a prediction, China must decentralize into numerous separate and autonomous states (like the USSR) or blow itself off the map, and starve on the vine. China.com is a waste in this regard, I am sorry iof this sounds mean, but I am not they kind of guy that thinks you can constantly "Throw Money at The Problem" ala Alan Greenspan and the IMF and World Bank and hope that by thus "Rewarding" corrupt asian political systems, they will have learned their lesson and "REFORM" to western capitalis and democratic ideals and FREE TRADE MEANING RECIPROCITY OF FREE AND OPEN COMPETITIVE TRADE. No, its simpler for China to hold their hand out for that free "US" money and say, "please teach me that again, I didn't quite get the lesson the first time". When will "WE" learn? Europe and Latin America on the other hand are about to boom, thats where to put your money, i.e. somewhere you can get it back, somewhere whre they play by the same rules. British AOL.uk or German AOL.de will work, Latin and US/Latin Starmedia STRM will be a big success, whereas CHINA.com never will, its just a political and cultural thing that even the internet will not overcome. You can not have a chinese peasant log on from a rice field and spend money when they maybe have never seen currency in their life. China.com is "Internet-Welfare"...I for one feel its cheaper to just wear one of those I care too P.C. ribbons on my lapel. Charity begins at home. I am, Truly yours, -Crystal ball |
