Anyone know who is this guy? Is it a big loss for Novell? He has joined my wife's company and looks like he will be good for them. I have asked her to try to find out more about him and why he left Novell. I own stock in both of them by the way.

I hope the brain drain has stopped. I wonder if the Dr. has started cleaning house already<g>

William J. Popp Named Vice President of Sales of National TechTeam

DEARBORN, Mich., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- National TechTeam Inc , today announced that William J. Popp has joined the company as Vice President of Sales. William was most recently Regional Director of Major Account Sales for Novell. At National TechTeam, William will focus on the delivery of sales and the development of marketing strategies for major corporate accounts.

During his tenure at Novell, William Popp became one of the Top Sales persons in the company, and received the 1993 Employee of the Year award for his work at Ford, Chrysler and GM. In 1994, William became District Manager of the Great Lakes Territory. In 1995, the District was the number one revenue producing territory for Novell. Also in 1995, William closed the two largest Software Licensing deals for Novell at Ford Motor Company and Chrysler Corporation. At the beginning of 1996, William was promoted to the Regional Director of Major Account Sales. In this role, he managed a senior sales organization that concentrated on selling to Novell's top customers in the Midwest and Southern regions of the United States. William began his sales career as an Account Executive for Honeywell Bull, followed by the same position at Lotus Development where he specialized in Lotus Notes and cc:Mail.
