What I can't understand is why so many people think it's perfectly okay to jump into a thread without reading a damned thing that's gone before. And so they ask tiresome questions that have been answered a thousand times (WHEN'RE EARNINGS, DEREK?) or--like Bob--attempt to offer pearls of wisdom on subjects that have already been discussed exhaustively.

And then they feel it's somehow unfair when they get jumped all over.
