Hummingbird is a case in point. It had a big cash horde and good P/E but kept getting pushed down. After it bought PC Docs and got into debt, guess what. Its stock is rising with no change in profitability. Of course, its capabable chairman, Sorkin, gave up his position as president and recruited someone popular with stock brokers.
