I found a basic, easy-to-read book on TA is Alexander Elder's Trading for a Living. I hear Martin Pring's books also fit this bill (I think one book is called Technical Analysis Explained, and I believe he recently came out with a CD-Rom intro to TA.).

The "bible" on TA is Edwards & Magee -- Technical Analysis of Stock Trends.

There are also a number of TA threads on SI (I haven't visited any in a very long time, but you can often find many posters willing to help you learn TA or get a read on a stock).
