ICANN't make ends meet: Internet names group cries poverty ---------------------------------------------------------- ICANN, the group that is revamping our domain name system, is supposed to be nonprofit. I guess the folks there really buy into this nonprofit stuff, because they went ahead and lost about a million bucks. That's fine for VC backed Internet start-ups. Losing money is a source of pride for them. But ICANN needs at least a little dough if it's to get the new naming system rolling. nwfusion.com
