Heather in my book "Point & Figure Charting" you will find statistical probabilities on the chart patterns on a study done at Purdue University by Professor Earl Davis. However, I would not look to technical analysis as a science. it is an art. Those who take the time to become well versed in the subject, and for us and many others its Point & Figures, will find this method tremendously helpful when coupled with fundamenals. TA coupled with FA will help you develop a logical, organized, game plan with which to invest. Nothing is perfect but it will require time on your part to become a craftsman at TA even if its astrology, become good at it. Tom Dorsey
