I think the news that the California Air Resources Board has approved, for the first time ever, an exemption to standards for gasoline is very significant. (For Chevron). There must be a real shortage of gasoline in the biggest market anywhere. dailynews.yahoo.com This should be supportive for the price of crude for some time to come. Even if OPEC started cheating today, the lag time for cargoes would keep supplies tight. JMHO.
