Storm of Protest Pelts Hollywood for Scarcity of Blind Actors and Actresses

HOLLYWOOD, CA - Apparently people of color are not the only ones upset about being under represented in leading television roles. The National Association for the Advancement of the Vision Impaired (NAAVI) today blasted the Big 3 television networks for not having even one show with a blind person cast in a major and meaningful role. Said Daren Noptic, spokesman for NAAVI, "The big three networks are closing their eyes to the plight of blind by locking us out of every show that they produce. That is why we are calling on blind people across America to stop watching the big three networks until they change their ways."

Noptic also pointed out that not one network has a blind news anchor, traffic helicopter pilot, sportscaster or movie critic. Said Noptic, "Even a blind person can see that this is nothing but pure unadulterated bigotry against vision impaired and it needs to stop!"
