I know for a fact that Intel is very actively working with the Telco's on expanding ADSL service. I case in point is here in my hometown. There are dozens of twisted pair "Experimental" loops running around town as a joint effort between Intel and GTE.

I would look for Intel to continue to be active in ADSL profliferation.
