still learning: I think, that we already know what is going to happen on the day of a big crash....most systems will fail. It will be a replay of Oct 87. I know the exchanges and most brokerages have improved their capacity, but I believe demand has already outpaced those improvements. Many we will be without quotes and most will not be able to connect to their broker via computer or phone. Many of those that do connect will be compelled to place market orders by the fear of having a limit order passed by. IMO, the best way to play "the big one" when it does eventually come, will be to NOT play it.....be out of the Market! And, for the very risky, be short...but I am to conservative for that!
