IBM today rolled out one gigabyte (1GB) SDRAM dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs) for PC servers and workstations.

Built on a standard 168 pin DIMM, IBM applied its stacking technology to achieve the 1GB density. The 1GB SDRAM DIMMs are available in PC133 and PC100 speed grades.

In addition, IBM made available other 256Mb-based DIMMs in PC133 and PC100 speed grades.
