Royal Pictures Appoints Choreographer Lizette Piedra as Corporate Vice
President; Announcement Made at Reception Showcasing New Film, 'Calle Ocho'
NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla., July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Royal Pictures, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: RPIX) announced today that it has appointed choreographer
Lizette Piedra as Vice President and member of the Company's Board of
Directors. The announcement was made at a reception held to introduce the
South Florida financial community to Royal current project, "Calle Ocho,"
which begins principal photography on August 23, 1999. The Company also
showcased several other innovative live-action and animated projects to be
produced by Royal, and fielded a lively question and answer session focused on
the Company's opportunities to capitalize on the exploding market for
independent film companies.
Ms. Piedra, a professional ballerina with extensive experience in both
classical and modern dance, is choreographing "Calle Ocho," a contemporary
romantic drama based in Miami's Little Havana, which makes heavy use of the
rich Cuban culture, including a new soundtrack by Willy Chirino. Other
prominent members of the Latin and cross-over entertainment communities have
expressed interest in participating in the film, both on and off screen.

slated to be the first of many projects by this team of dynamic women.
