Let me understand correctly, Doug:
-----------------------------------------
New statistic:

Auction number listed at 12:00 AM EST, July 9: 129,068,269
Auction number listed at 12:00 AM EST, July 16: 132,395,000

OR about 3.3M item numbers in the past week. With the help of another SI user, cdbud, we have found that eBay is currently taking about 11 days to have 5M items (via this new counting method) listed. This has been this way for about two months now.

This number represents the number of auctions listed since eBay inception.
-------------------------------------------

Do you mean that for the last two months the # of items/week
(or the time it takes to do 5M items) is flat? No growth?
Does this mean that the auction count stat is totally misleading?
