I don't see how he could know if it's going to be bad news. It's more likely good news than bad news. I don't think many smart people would short the stock just before the results... but then again they might have been caught by surprise. Who knows... but it should be fun when it opens. I think there's really not much downside risk left because the stock's been beaten up so much lately as it is.
