Me! That was cool, did you watch it? They picked my question whether there was any difference in a cdma overlay of GSM and pure cdma. DR. J responded that the air interface is identical and the benefits of cdma over gsm merely a pass through the air-interface. GSM is toast for greenfield applications but can be kept alive where it is through cdma air-interfaces. They also predicted that wireless calls will surpass wireline in the world as early as 2004 or 5. Lots of capabilities that will come on line within the next few years. It is clear that George Gilder's vision of the smart phone will be here in less than 5 years. Video,email, internet, two way messaging, etc. The Q will rock. Caxton
