Concerning NGDLC and HDSL: My guess is that it may be the case of Cisco's deal includes the Fibex DLC Plus, small nodes type, which does not need to be equipped with HDSL cards at first. But -perhaps at a later date- as part of the deal Cisco, has to engineer a solution to supply HDSL.
