Or am I reading into it?> No your not reading anything into SL's comments. Todd Bakar (H&Q) was very direct in his question to him, referencing the infusion of bucks by Kennilworth into Applied Magnetics this week. Bakar couldn't understand how several folks could remain in business much longer and SL agreed. BTW, SL commented that he didn't see any reason the weak companies would be acquired stating the cost of integrating them would be too costly (and disruptive without any value-add). Instead he alluded to them just closing up shop. When we lost SyQuest, StorMedia, JTS, Micropolis and Integral Peripherals that's essentially how they went. No acquisition and folding in of these companies! By the way, Applied is going through the same going out of business desperation financing that was followed by JTS last year (or was it two years ago). Regards, LT
