You should run for political office. You take a grain of reality and extrapolate it until it fits your personal fantasy.

While stocks may have both fundamental and speculative aspects, you CANT be seriously arguing that most internut stocks have ANYTHING approaching 50% fundamentals. Or even 5% fundamentals. The latest crop of crap thrown at the public by the eager brokerage houses don't even have REVENUES, much less earnings. The only fundamentals those stocks have is that they've gone public. Now if you're arguing that going public is the only characteristic that a company needs to have, in this day and age, I might agree with you.

Those are two extremes; in fact, valuations always have some fundamental component (even our beloved Amazon does have revenues and a future) and some speculative component (even the most sound discounted cash flow analysis involves speculation about the future cash flows).
