If there is something to worry about in the future, I would worry about the future of Dell. Dell is having its days now with a good business model, however, Dell is really stuck in the PC commodity business. With PC price dropping, Dell will have its problems soon. Seeing companies such as IBM being successful in services,Dell is trying to develop the services org.. A good services org will take years before it becomes a large source of revenue. Unless of course, Dell can go out and buy a service organization instead of building it. Such an acquisition would take a huge premium, I don't think Michael Dell would spend this kind of money as in the case of them not willing to pay the premium to get an internet service provider.

Compaq is having its share of problem, but it is positioned well in all of the enterprise platforms. It also has a good service organization. It will be just a matter of time before Compaq will get its acts together and be very profitable again.
