I think this whole thread is out of line. To the extent that anyone wishes to comment on people's work, great. If you like it, rave on. If you hate it, say so. If you have a critique, state it.
But to the extent that this starts to look like a frat house bulletin board laden with sexist cracks and mindless barbs aimed especially at the women.... yeah, it's out of line.
And to those who would argue freedom of speech... right. We all have that. There is also something called "decency."
Maria, Sue, Amanda, Kathleen (both of them) are someone's daughter, wife, sister, mother, etc. They deserve some degree of respect... no more and no less than you would accord your own mothers, sisters and wives.
