John, nice to see they "essentially" fessed up to the JV gross margins way down in the "risks" section:

The Company purchases assembled and tested components from the JVs at prices determined quarterly and which are based on the Company's average sales prices. Primarily as a result of the rate of decline in average selling prices, the Company essentially broke even on gross margins for JV products sold in the third quarter of 1999.

Considering the increased presence of JV goods, in a rising price environment you can rest assured that the members of the analyst community who, despite being able to produce price targets, appear somewhat at a loss in comprehending some of the more basic operations of this company (sorry, but anyone who's out there with research claiming their overseas DRAM gross margins are 20% lacks sufficient understanding of this company's operations...then again, you don't really need that to set a price target do you), will be definitely be using that angle in their market pamphlets...

...once they figure out what the above even means <g>
