bp, Thanks for the link and the encouragement. In my case as well, you would never know my condition by looking...although I have developed a slight gait abnormality. I can't run or ski, skate or weight lift anymore, so it is like living someone else's life...listlessly watching from the sidelines. That's one reason I was so captivated by the Women's World Cup Soccer Team...the muscles involved in soccer are the muscles I no longer have control of on the right side. I was so moved by and proud of the way they represented our country as Champions...Thay are some dedicated, talented, strong Women...it sounds like you are too, to come through an accident where you saw your life flash before your eyes... and you had the presence of mind to make the effort to protect yourself. Thanks for helping me understand that isolation is a downward spiral. I was brought up by my father, [who by the way is an awful lot like jla], to never complain or acknowledge weakness or unpleasant things. I need to try to trust that people do often have good intentions...and it's ok to be open, sometimes. Thanks again for the link and kind words, bp.
