I contemplated how SEG could try to unlock the hidden value. The first thought was that they could spin off the disk drive company and become a holding company. That way the drive company would stand or fall on it's own, and the holding company would trade based on its holdings, and would become like CMGI for example.

Another option would seem to be to sell small amounts of any the subsidiaries that might be "fully valued" and use the proceeds to repurchase their own shares which are "undervalued".
