Scumbria,

Do you think they will get these out in PCs before
Intel is selling 500, 550 or 600 MHz Celeron processors?

A cheap 500 MHz Celeron is going to make it harder to sell a 500 MHz
K7. If Intel then quickly comes out with a 550 MHz Celeron,
it's going to be harder for AMD to get the K7 launched. AMD might
get stuck competing with Celeron again and not the PIII.

If they then stick with the "25% less than Intel" pricing strategy,
it's going to be bankruptcy in about 9 months.

Clark,

From the same "Laugh-a-thon" article:

"Analysts who have tested the chip and examined its architecture have nearly universally stated that the Athlon offers more performance than a Pentium III running at the same clock speed"

How is that for a good laugh?
