Check out comment from John Carmack of ID Software and Tim Sweeny of Unreal - two gaming industry gurus - about Athlon performance compared to PIII. AMD is kicking some major butt in games.

And, Intel's Wilamette, that is intended to compete with Athlon, is a 2001 product per Otellini's remarks in Q2 conf call. Good luck for INTC longs.
