Arthur, I absolutely love the creativity that Apple has exercised over the years, which obviously speaks to many of the people that develop and use their products. That is why it disheartens me so when I visit sites like macintouch.com and others that tell of absolutely horrible, nightmarish service, reliability and product delivery issues. I would like to see Apple be a stronger competitor, because the competition would benefit us all.
Yet, it does appear that Steve has difficulties establishing an effective business organization when it comes to the above mentioned issues. The type of things that someone like Mike could probably clean up with one of his hands tied behind his back. If we assume you and I are both correct, then Apple needs some effective organizational leadership and Dell needs some more creative leadership.
This relates directly to my very first post to this thread, 134,800 I believe, where I propose Dell should make a concerted push into the high-end audio workstation market. It would be very doable for them.
The Pixar facility sounds great. Having put bread on my family's table for a few years as a commercial construction project manager, I greatly appreciate your info on this project. Radii...YES! Quality and built to last...YES! Urban rebirth and regentrification...YES!
As always,
Best regards, George |
