Mel, I could only watch for about a half-hour as well. . .not having a confirmation, the trickling news stretches out each feeling for maximum impact and stress. But after over 6 hours of daylight search and rescue, using military search aircraft and sparing no expense. . . the chances of survival have diminished greatly. . .probably less than 1 percent . .so your impression may be correct.
