Since you were so kind with your compliment, I'll return the favor with some disagreement. :)

[Lindy] knows that Q is a wee Gorilla, so the chances of it suddenly tanking are minimal.

Wee gorillas are more prone to sudden corrections than mature gorillas that are under no particular threat of a discontinuous innovation displacing them. Even so, Cisco has tanked 40% twice in the last twelve months.

The authors mention on page 111 that when a company disappoints investors with unexpected earnings shortfalls, it's not unusual for high-tech companies' stocks to fall a third or more in one day, even gorilla stocks. It happens when there is any reason for investors to believe that a tornado is ending, usually caused by the fear that the competitive advantage is weaker than previously thought.

Plus, [Lindy] has lightening reflexes, and is poised to jump out of the lion's den at the first sign of danger.
