When I heard the treasury auction was going badly, and with the Labor Dept. release tomorrow, I took a conservative approach and sold my shares of Dell Computer. I was going to wait until the stock hit $60, but when I saw all those red minus signs in front of my screen, I sold. I heard right before the close it was at $53.00 I sold at $52.50. My profit margin was around 25%. It could have been greater. But I refused to buy Dell when it really slipped a few months ago.(If the market goes down I'll buy back SUNW)

I don't think inflation is significant at this point. I don't know why everyone keeps harping about it. I don't think the Fed is likely to raise rates in an election year. We need some strength in the market. If people don't have money, they won't buy computers!

The CEO of Texas Instruments died today while he was in Europe. He was only 56 or 58. TI is doing a lot of interesting things. It is also one of my favorite companies.

My full-time broker does not believe we will have a significant correction here.Yesterday, I heard that even more people have put money into mutual funds. Yet, the fellow who does my options worries. He is younger than my full-time guy and also very excitable. We make a great team since we are both hyper!

Is the Lombard line secure? I would worry about someone breaking into my account.
