I don't really need a "theory" to realize that until some new significant material news is forthcoming that investors are sitting on their hands WAITING, not wanting to commit funds nor sell their positions. You're the only one who believes (or tries to sell the idea) that the investor who purchased the 480,000 at 6 1/4 is selling them for a relatively very small profit and has no interest in any very large longer term gains, or any faith that Valence will succeed, an appropriate attitude for a bear.

Trying to invent a theory for every minor trend of price movement is over-interpretation - but it IS a way of creating negative arguments.

Have we all now decided what our view is on the investor who bought 480,000 shares, or shall we do it a SIXTH time?
